Old Town Temecula Street Painting Festival
& Ralph Love Plein Air Festival

Artists are born and discovered at this Street Painting Festival where families and children are given pastels to create their own masterpiece alongside hundreds of murals masterfully painted by more than 100 fine artists. It is all done on the asphalt canvas of Main Street & Town Square in Old Town Temecula. This is performance art in a large-scale way as fine artists spend two solid days creating masterpieces, originals and reproductions of the grand masters. Most murals are 100 square feet or larger. Live world music provides a creative soundtrack for artists and viewers. The Ralph Love Plein Air Festival coincides with the weekend, offering a glimpse into the technique required of on-site artists painting throughout Old Town Temecula. Painting starts on Friday Night with the Black and White at Night division of street painting. Artists who pre-register receive breakfast, lunch and a goodie bag of pastels and supplies.

For application call (951) 678-1456 or visit www.temeculacalifornia.com or www.temeculaevents.org. For event information call (951) 693-3952.

TEMECULA’S PREMIER SUMMERFEST EVENT
The Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival, June 3-5, 2011

Perhaps it’s that magical sensation of flight that infects the crowd as the colorful hot air balloons rise into luminous Temecula skies. Some say they attend annually just for the premium wine; others the music, others like the way balloons dance during the evening balloon glow. No matter what brings 40,000 guests each year, the Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival is a Southern California tradition and it returns June 3-5, 2011. Concerts are held on two stages Saturday, with jazz, pop and R&B performed on the Wine Garden Stage. The Main Stage has headline entertainment.

Past performers have included Kenny Loggins, Peter Frampton, Blake Shelton and the Doobie Brothers. Sunday entertainment includes headliners on the Wine Garden Stage and a freestyle super motocross stunt show at the Main Stage. All concerts are included in the admission price. Make Temecula reservations early during the Festival week. For information visit www.tvbwf.com or call (951) 676-6713.
